Seven Steeples by Sara Baume

On the 7th of April we will publish Sara Baume’s new novel, Seven Steeples. It’s beautiful, compelling work, and you’re going to love it.

 
Bell and Sigh, a couple in the infancy of their relationship, cut themselves off from friends and family. Them in and the world out. From the top of the nearby mountain, they are told, you can see seven standing stones, seven schools, and seven steeples. All you have to do is climb.
Taking place in a remote house in the south-west of Ireland, this rich and vivid novel spans seven years and speaks to the times we live in, asking how we may withdraw, how better to live in the natural world, and how the choices made or avoided lead us home.

Galway
Seven Steeples will be launched at the Cúirt Festival in Galway on April 7th, at a very special event in the Taibhdhearc Theatre at 7pm where Sara will discuss her work with artist Dorothy Cross. Click here for more.

Cork
We will of course have a launch in Cork – it will take place on April 12th at 6pm in Waterstones on St Patrick’s St! All are welcome!

Dublin
We will also have an event in Dublin at Hodges Figgis the following week, on Thursday 14th at 6pm.  We hope to see you there too!
